Fashionistas. gr Interview with VIVIAN HATZELI
After the invitation of fashionistas.gr and fashionistas.com.gr to the creator and designer of Vinte Li Vivian Hatzeli the following interview took place.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO GET INVOLVED IN FASHION?
I love creating, and I wanted to express myself through fashion, and this is why I got involved and created my company VINTE LI, in 2012 while I was still studying design and costume/dressmaking.
YOU SPECIALISE IN CRISTENING AND SPECIAL OCCASION CLOTHES. WHY?
From the beginning I always wanted to get involved with kids clothes and that’s why I gave more emphasis in creating Christening and Special occasion clothes for children. I believe it is more of a challenge due to the difficulty and particularity, because you are addressing a specific age group and are made for a particular and special moment in a child’s life, such as Christening etc. Therefore it has to be designed with a lot of love and sensitivity.
WE SEE THAT YOU INTRODUCE RELEVANT GARMENTS FOR MOTHERS AND GODMOTHERS:
Not relevant, but exactly the same. Since 2015 my collection is addressing Mothers as well as Godmothers (for Christenings). I wanted their appearance to be relevant to the occasion and particularly impressive. So I combined the Christening/Special Occasion kids outfit with a ladies garment in various sizes. Therefore by designing exactly the same outfit in small and grown up sizes has given me the possibility and opportunity to fulfill my other big desire which Women’s Clothes.
TELL US ABOUT THE MATTERIALS YOU USE:
I make sure that the materials we use in all our creations and collections have character, style and quality. Many times I combine dissimilar materials in order to achieve my original design as I imagine it.
